World’s First M=BUS WorldSID Dummy(September 23, 2010)
Purchased by the German Federal Highway Institute (BASt)
Recently the German Federal Highway Institute BASt (Bundesanstalt fur Straßenwesen), accredited or EuroNCAP testing, based in Bergisch Gladbach decided to move forward in terms of side impact dummy technology and purchased the worldwide accepted side impact dummy ? the WorldSID.
The WorldSID is a worldwide harmonized side impact dummy which is used to measures the vehicle Occupant injury risk in lateral impact. To ensure its high biofidelity the dummy is equipped with a large number of sensors (over 200 channels possible). As a result of this large channel count an InDummy data acquisition technology becomes a necessity to guarantee a trouble free crash test operation. MESSRING’s state of the art M=BUS InDummy data acquisition technology was chosen as InDummy data acquisition to be integrated into BASt’s first WorldSID 50%. The German Highway Institutes decision for the M=BUS InDummy system reflects once more the high technology standard of M=BUS.

M=BUS InDummyDAS Upgrade for BioRIDII Dummies (Mar 16, 2010)
The integration of MESSRING's M=BUS InDummy Data Acquisition System into the rear impact ATD BioRIDII is a further milestone on the road to a fully adaptive "All"-Dummy solution.

A total of 8 M=BUS Data Loggers can be implanted. Each Logger acquires 6 channels independently even if the bus line is disconnected.
Considering the short connection between sensor and DAS Logger, M=BUS provides the highest level of data security on the InDummy Data Acquisition market.
The modules which accommodate the Loggers are positioned in the head, laterally at the spine, and in the pelvic cavity without any modification of the original dummy.
This enables upgrades of BioRIDII ATDs with conventional instrumentation. For the users of an M=BUS Dummy, the modular design of M=BUS also paves the way for an easy system extension. If necessary, further Loggers or whole modules can be added in the serial bus line regardless of free slots, memory capacity or power supply.

MESSRING´s Angular Competence Confirmed (Mar 01, 2010)
CAERI, the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, one of the major research and test authorities in China decided to award a contract to MESSRING for their new angular crash test center.

CAERI is located in Chongqing - which is one of the three biggest cities in China and very fast growing industrial areas.
The award of this project once again proves that long-term competence in the design and manufacture crash test system is a must for a complicated project such as angular crash
MESSRING´s Angular Competence Confirmed (Nov 02, 2009)
MESSRING was awarded the contract to modernize and extend the crash testing capabilities of the Test Center of Transport Canada in Blainville that is run by PMG Technologies.

Transport Canada has decided to incorporate angular crash testing capabilities in the existing crash test center close to Montreal, Quebec. Using this world-class facility, PMG Technologies will be able conduct all the crash-compliance tests necessary to verify safety standards with passenger cars, commercial vehicles, trucks and even railroad cars, as well as all kinds of impact research and development initiatives under very variable test scenarios. Once again the outstanding MESSRING technology won against fierce local competition.
MESSRING goes India (Sep 16, 2009)
The National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project awards contract to MESSRING for the design and manufacture of one of the biggest and most advanced crash test facilities world-wide, which will be part of the new Global Automotive Research Centre in Chennai.

Designed to meet all current standards and regulations for cars and trucks, crash and sled tests can be run under all conditions that are currently done somewhere in the world.
NATRIP is the largest and one of the most significant initiatives in India´s Automotive sector so far, to create a state of the art testing, validation and R&D infrastructure in the country.
The Project aims at creating core global competencies in Automotive sector in India and facilitate seamless integration of Indian Automotive industry with the world as also to position the country prominently on the global automotive map. M=BUS Pro: The universal 8-channel-lightweight (Feb 26, 2009)
Based on the M=BUS-technology the universal onboard data acquisition system with the light and compact 8-channel modules is ready for customer’s application.

MESSRING, the market leader for crash-test facilities makes the next step in miniaturization of data acquisition electronics: M=BUS Pro.
The new M=BUS unit is designed to acquire data from any resistive and piezoresistive transducer connected. The analog frontend is programmable to match the full range of existing sensors. The sensors are connected to the unit by the proven LEMO 1B connectors.

The daisy chain wiring of the M=BUS allows the distributed mounting of single units in the test object which causes an immense reduction of the sensitive analog wiring.
This means that the data acquisition is moving close to the sensor for saving effort and time routing the cables. Of course it is also possible to mount the modules side by side on a simple mounting rail at a central location (e.g. the trunk of a car).

For the highest level of data integrity the M=BUS Pro is equipped with a backup system that is activated automatically in case of a cable break. This features offline testing without external M=BUS power supply.
Equipped with a huge 4GB flash-memory that allows recording for more than 3 hours with 8 channels at 20kHz the M=BUS Pro is also very attractive for applications besides the field of shock and accident testing.
Modules with digital inputs and units for firing airbags complete the M=BUS Pro Onboard Data Acquisition Program.

While designing the new data acquisition system, focus especially was laid on small dimensions and low weight, facing an increasing demand for small and handy data acquisition systems for testing compact cars.
