Car Test
We provide turnkey crash test facilities, from standard to customized high end solutions. The facilities are build from the cradle to full function or upgraded from an existing facility during normal test run with shortest downtime. MESSRING is the leading supplier of crash test facilities in automotive and supplier industries.
Car to Car Test
Car to Car crash test facilities for all kind of tests with two running cars with different velocities and arbitrary impact angles between 0¡Æ and 360¡Æ. Considering the dynamic behavior of 2 different vehicles in terms of velocity, hit accuracy, center of gravity, mass, friction, air resistance and so on, makes the task of the real time controller extremely serious.
Car and Sled Test
Car and sled tests combined in one facility for maximum test capability with lowest cost. All tests can be performed on the same facility.
RIS/CIS Rear/Compact Impact Simulator
  • Precise control of acceleration, speed and displacement
  • One-man operation, computer-controlled, full-automatic test run
  • Extremely compact
  • No extra foundation required
  • Data acquisition system included Currently two models are available: Rear Impact Simulator RIS-developed for Whiplash-tests
  • Nominal Thrust 0.3MN
  • Maximum stroke 0.8m
  • Max jerk > 12 G/ms Compact Impact Simulator CIS-for seat, child seat and seat belt tests
  • Nominal Thrust 0.5MN
  • Maximum stroke 1m
  • Max jerk > 15 G/ms
  • SIS-Side Impact Simulator
The Side Impact Simulator essentially consists of three sleds, which are accelerated independently of each other, each by means of a hydraulic drive. This test facility can be used for simulating vehicle tests with barrier or pole impacts. Besides permitting a whole range of different customer-specific side impact simulations, this test rig also allows tests to be performed according to ECE-R95. The sleds can either be positioned from the control station or, to permit the installation of the test objects, positioned independently using the mobile panel on the test rig. Inherent safety functions such as, for instance, a separate pump for the positioning pressure of the sleds go to complete the concept.
    HIS-Airbag Simulator
The horizontal airbag test system essentially consists of two modules, the acceleration unit for the test bodies and an airbag holder for the greatest variety of types and sizes of airbags. This device enables one or two test bodies to be accelerated hydraulically and either guided or allowed to fly freely into an airbag or any other type of structure desired. To measure acceleration reliably in the forward direction, each test body is fitted with two acceleration sensors. During airbag testing, four force sensors at the airbag holder record the forces acting on the airbag. In addition to measurements of force and acceleration, the displacement and speed of the test bodies can also be measured in both the forward and backward directions (rear impact analysis).
